libplib-dev software package provides Portability Libraries: Development package, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libplib-dev
libplib-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libplib-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libplib-dev *
You will get with libplib-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
